We have recently learned that two of our former graduate students, Carmen Reznik and Charlisa Daniles, have recieved some exciting news about the progress of their careers.

                   

               
  CarmenReznik Shell 

Firstly, we would like to congratulate Dr. Carmen Reznik for her recent promotion! Carmen is a Landes group alumna (PhD 2011) and was previously a researcher in Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery for HODer in Shell Global Solutions US. Carmen has been selected as Supply Excellence Manager for the Chemicals Business effective January 1, 2014. In her new role, Carmen will be assigned to manage the global Chemicals Margin Variance Analysis process, and improvement projects. Carmen holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Rice University.  She has 13 years experience in industry prior to joining Shell, with a strong focus on new technology development and deployment.  She joined Shell in 2011 at Shell Technology Center Houston, supporting cEOR development for the Chemicals business in third party America's projects, and has served as LEAN practitioner on continuous improvement projects.

 
  Profile Charlisa 

We also congratulate Dr. Charlisa Daniels for her appointment as Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at Northern Kentucky University!  Charlisa is a Landes group alumna (PhD 2012) and for the past two years has been a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Professor Michelle Bushey at Trinity University. Charlisa will begin her tenure track faculty position in Fall 2014. Good luck Professor Daniels!!
